Shrimp Dip Recipe
Shrimp Dip – Krabben Dip
The Shrimp Dip is called Krabbensoβe or Garnelensoβe in Germany. The dip is easy to make following the step-by-step instruction. This dip will be a party hit that your guest will really enjoy.
Ingredients for Shrimp Dip:
- 305 g – 10 ¾ oz of Campbell’s Condensed Tomato Soup (1 can)
- 226 g – 8 oz of cream cheese (I use Philadelphia original)
- 2 pouches of unflavored gelatin
- 1 cup of shrimp—cut into small pieces
- 1 cup of mayonnaise
- ¾ cup of chopped onions
- ¾ cup of chopped celery
- 10-12 drops of Tabasco sauce
Preparation:
Place the gelatin in about ½ cup of cold water and let it soak. Heat the tomato soup and melt the cream cheese in the soup. Add Tabasco and mayonnaise and mix until smooth.
Add chopped celery, chopped onions, and cut shrimp and mix together with a cooking spoon. Heat up until it starts to boil. Remove from the heat. Add gelatin and mix until gelatin is dissolved. Do not let the dip boil with the gelatin in it, as this will ruin the effect of the gelatin.
Spray a baking mold or silicon mold with butter (or cooking spray) and fill the mold with the shrimp dip. Let it chill for about 4–6 hours before turning the mold upside down on a serving plate. Serve with your favorite crackers.
The dip may be served at your New Year’s Eve Party or at any other party. To try the Solid Layer Cake click here and the Flavored Butter Spreads click here.
