Ingredients for Vanilla Cheese Pudding Dessert
- 1 package of Dr. Oetker Vanilla Pudding OR Jello Cook & Serve Pudding & Pie Filling
- 4 tablespoons of sugar
- ½ l (2 cups) of milk
- 227 g (8 oz) of quark OR sour cream OR whole milk yoghurt
- 236 ml (1/2 pint) of heavy whipping cream
- 400 g (14 oz) of strawberries OR red raspberries
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
Preparation of Vanilla Cheese Pudding:
Rinse your pot under cold water. Add milk followed by pudding powder and sugar. Mix together and bring it all to a boil while stirring continuously. Remove from heat and immediately pour the contents into a bowl. Rinse some cellophane wrap under water and place it on top of the pudding. (This will help avoid a skin to develop on top of the pudding while it is cooling down).
Wash the strawberries and cut them into pieces. Save some of the strawberries for decoration. Whip the whipping cream until it is stiff.
Mix the quark or sour cream or yoghurt with the lemon juice and beat it with a handheld electric mixer. Add the cold pudding with a tablespoon slowly to the quark or sour cream or yoghurt and beat until smooth. Add the stiff whipping cream to it and mix. Carefully mix in the strawberries and decorate. Keep the pudding refrigerated until it is time to serve.
