Iceberg Lettuce Salad Recipe
Iceberg Lettuce Salad Recipe with apples and Gorgonzola. Iceberg Lettuce is called Eisbergsalat in Germany.
Ingredients for Iceberg Lettuce Salad Recipe:
- 1 head of iceberg lettuce
- 1 ½ tablespoons of white wine vinegar
- 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons of sour cream
- ½ – 1 cup of crumbled Gorgonzola
- 2 tablespoons of diced onions
- 1 apple
- 2 teaspoons of sugar
Preparation of Iceberg Lettuce Salad:
Cut the head of lettuce into quarters, remove the core, and cut the lettuce into strips. Wash and dry the lettuce in a salad spinner before placing in a bowl. Dice the onion into small pieces—use a food chopper if you have one. Peel the apple with a potato peeler, take out the core and cut in small pieces. Mix the sour cream with vinegar, oil, salt, pepper, and sugar in a bowl and add the dressing to the apples and onions together with the Gorgonzola. Then, place the lettuce on top. Toss either with large spoons, tongs, or salad hands.
