Grilled Pork Loin Chops
Grilled Pork Loin Chops – Schweinelende
Grilled Pork Loin Chops marinated in apple cider with onions and chillies. They are a great addition to your barbecue. Pork loin chops are called Schweinelendekoteletts in Germany.
Ingredients for Grilled Pork Loin Chops:
- 6-8 thickly sliced of pork loin chops
- 2—12 oz bottles of apple cider
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 1 freshly diced jalapeno pepper
- 1 freshly diced chili pepper
- 2 medium sized Vidalia onions (diced)
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 3 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Preparation:
Wash your meat under running cold water and dry with a paper towel. Mix apple cider, oil, and maple syrup with a whisk. Add diced peppers and spices and mix again. Place the meat in a casserole and pour the liquid mix over it. Cut the onions in strips and place them on top of the meat. Cover and let the meat sit overnight in your refrigerator.
Take the meat out of the marinade and grill over high heat for approximately 10 minutes on each side, depending on thickness of the chops. Cover the pork chops with the lid for the last few minutes of cooking, while controlling the temperature and smoke with the vent of the lid.
Serve the pork chops at a barbecue in your backyard or on your 4th of July party.
